In the ten years since they began performing together Adam Kay and Suman Biswas of Amateur Transplants have developed into one of the Comedy world’s best kept secrets. With sell-out tours and Edinburgh Festival seasons (they even sold out the O2 Indigo Arena this year), their cutting-edge, darkly humorous re-imaginings of modern day pop and rock classics have gained them a cult following across the UK.
Their London Underground Song has been in the iTunes comedy top ten continuously since 2008 and has become an internet phenomenon with over 7 million hits. They are delighted to announce their London Christmas Assembly show at The Vaudeville Theatre on Sunday 12th December 2010. Tickets

First chance to see cult Internet hit singing doctors at theatre shows in Oxford, Bristol, Cardiff, Southampton, Brighton, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester, Norwich and Sheffield.
Amateur Transplants are Adam Kay and Suman Biswas - two junior doctors who sing smutty songs. They met at medical school in 1998, where their twisted routines got them well-known amongst doctors around the country. Their filthy tirade about the state of the tube The London Underground song became a viral hit, hitting the charts and achieving a record breaking run in the iTunes comedy charts.
They have had sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe for the last four years, but their day-jobs and busy schedule of disciplinary hearings have limited their number of performances. Following tiresome demand for gigs, they are delighted to announce 'Amateur Transplants In Theatre' - a national UK tour.

The Amateur Transplants have released one of their new (Christmas!) songs for the Musical Comedy Awards 2009. You can go online and see 'Christmas Number 12' exclusively on their Musical Comedy Site

The Amateur Transplants have gone straight to No.1 on the iTunes Comedy chart following the digital release of 'London Underground' this week. All proceeds are going to Macmillan Cancer Support. Dr Adam Kay, one of the Transplants, said "Its a great honour to release such a rude song for such a worthwhile cause. And we are delighted to be finally swearing on iTunes."
But the Doctors have got things covered should it prove a chart hit. “Our new funky punky song is rather rude, so we got a version bleeped for radio. Lets face it – its mostly bleeps!” ‘The London Underground’ was released on Monday 17th November on iTunes and all digital platforms. To hear the bleeped radio version click here.
Amateur Transplants are Adam Kay and Suman Biswas - two junior doctors who sing smutty songs. They met at medical school in 1998, where their twisted routines got them well-known amongst doctors around the country. They sprung to wider fame a couple of years back when The London Underground song (a filthy tirade about the state of the tube) became a viral internet hit. They continue to be a cult internet hit, with their recent video - The Anaesthetists Hymn – watched over 1.4 million times in the last few months. Their criminally irresponsible CD and DVD continue to raise tens of thousands of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
